They can be used for displaying photographs or other items within the layers that are exposed when the box is open. They are sturdy enough to hide a little surprise inside so what a wonderful opportunity to give a personalised gift. PM - QUILLING - SHARON BRIGGS £10.00 Monday 09/01/2012 13.00 - 16.00 Quilling, also known as paper filigree is the art of rolling narrow strips of paper around a pin-like tool into a circle and shaped to form three dimensional designs. The origin of quilling has been traced back to European monasteries of the fifteenth century but the actual creation of the art may date back to the thirteen century. It is thought that feather quills were originally used to roll the paper strip so come and try your hand at this ancient art and see what beautiful creations you can make.

AM - STENCILS AND EMBOSSING PASTE - SHARON £12.00 Friday 17/02/2012 10.00 - 12.30 Using paste with brass stencils creates a whole new way of using your stencils as you can create the designs on dark coloured cardstock which is not possible when using a lightbox. When embossing on lighter coloured cardstocks with a lightbox you can create delicate and beautiful areas of embossing wherever you want them – something that is not possible when using an embossing/die cutting machine.
